Weird Al Coffee Concept

Challenge

The challenge for this MassArt portfolio piece was to create packaging for “Weird Al” Yankovic’s new coffee line, which he would sell at concerts and on his website.

Solution

As he is the king of mashups and parodies, these three varieties of coffee are also a mashup of Weird Al’s style and talent with coffee culture. Each bag features an original illustration, his portrait logo on the back, and a completely accurate description of where the beans come from. Fans might enjoy reading the flavor text as they waited for the show to start, after snagging a bag – or a set of three – at his merch stand.
